?MS At Home? Launches With Our First Cooking Video

The weeks leading up to our eight time zone move were? well, let?s just say they were busy. It made perfect sense that I added to the work load by helping to co-produce and host a series of short videos about living with multiple sclerosis that we called ?MS At Home?.

With the help of dear friends (who lent us their home for the shoots), Swedish MS Center, an amazing producer and crew and the folks at Everyday Health, the first of these clips is now up and running!

In our first video, we show a simple recipe that I call ?Succotash 2.0?. It?s a simple dish which requires no cooking at all and can be used as the base for several meals, snacks and side-dishes. The reason we went with this as a theme was the massive fatigue that many living with multiple sclerosis can experience.

The video has been on the EverydayHealth.com home page this week and has even seen a go on the news feed of AOL.com

Toward the end of the cooking segment, Dr James Bowen of the Swedish MS Center at the Swedish Neuro Institute in Seattle, joins me to discuss why it is that people living with MS experience fatigue.

Dr Bowen joins me in a later ?cup of coffee? interview (we?ll let you know when that posts) about other medical aspects of living with MS. We also shot a series of the interviews with people living with MS along with MS specializing nurse practitioner, Bobbie Severson, from Swedish.

We?ll keep you up to date on when those videos are available and when our next round of ?MS At Home? makes the rounds.

Wishing you and your family the best of health.

Cheers

Trevis
