Arts and Entertainment,Celebrity Gossip News - How are martial ...

I want to know if martial artists turn off their pain receptors. I mean on Human Weapon there are guys breaking bricks nad marble without even flinching. so how do they do it does it have to do with adrenaline?

If you break the board or brick successfully, it doesn't hurt very much. it hurts much more when you hit it hard and it doesn't break!

Repeated striking can deaden the nerves. Muay Thai fighters will tell you their shins are numb to pain after years of training. Repeated striking will also thicken the bones if done properly, which can enable you to break objects more easily. Finally, you can learn to ignore pain to a certain degree, but a person's pain threshold is largely genetic.

It is possible to condition the body to not react to pain or to not feel as much pain as the average person. I've been training for 5 years, and I know that I can take a much harder hit now than I could when I started.
As for breaking bricks and marble, if you know how to hit properly, it doesn't hurt. when a board breaks, energy is transferred from the hand directly through the board, so resistance is not met, and pain is not felt.

a lot of the time they do toughen their striking areas to avoid injuries and deaden nerves, but it's more about having the right mind set. It's almost like the matrix: don't THINK you can break through it, KNOW you can. you have to visualize yourself going THROUGH it, not just striking the surface. This is important because if you hit it, but not hard enough to penetrate it, you are going to get hurt. The brick can in a sense, hit back. I am a martial artist, so I know.

it has to deal with adrenaline a little. but the most important part is their training .they don't turn of any pain it is mind over power. this requires concentration you dont think about the pain and also you have to hit the object in the right area. then you have to think on human wepon these guys have been praticing for years.

its all training with focusing on all inner strength and releases it on a single hit..i forget the termonology for it?but far as the pain between focusing and your adrenaline going ya body is causing so much endorphins when you unleash on a object all 3 combined ya body does miracles..plus they have been doing that for sooo long they can probavley tolerate the pain after it all said and done

we train for it to a point were we know where to hit how hard to hit and we kinda Develop an immunity to pain(on a small scale

There is a difference between "not hurting" and "not acknowledging the pain."

Pain happens in the mind.

training a certain way to hit it so it hurts the least
but it still hurts a little bit

Its called being stoic, where i live in england we have it down to an art form
